About the GSIF

The Global Solutions Initiative Foundation (GSIF) is a global collaborative enterprise to propose policy responses to major global problems, addressed by the G20, the G7 and other global governance fora. Our activities include amongst others the Global Solutions Summit, the G20 Insights Platform, international workshops and conferences, and the Global Solutions Journal.


The Global Solutions Initiative Foundation (GSIF) is currently looking for a

Senior Manager Press and Media Relations (d/f/m).

Form of Employment: Full time
Starting Date: 1 December 2020
Duration: Limited until 31/12/2022, with the possibility of extension
Location: Berlin, Germany

 

Responsibilities:

  • Spokesperson of the GSIF
  • Actively steer the overall reputation and visibility of the GSIF especially within the global media landscape and identify opportunities to reach new and existing audiences
  • Maintain and extend the network of media relationships with a focus on tier-1 international media outlets
  • Plan, organise and carry out interviews, background discussions and press briefings
  • Oversee the overall communication activities of the GSIF, including social media channels, websites and launches of key publications
  • Create impactful content for media, print and website, including press releases, web features, opinion pieces, publications, blog posts, marketing material

 

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in communications, political science, journalism, international affairs or other relevant fields
  • 5+ years professional experience in communications or journalism, preferably in an international policy environment
  • Excellent knowledge of and network within the German and international media landscape
  • Proven track record in executing successful media campaigns
  • Experience in planning, executing and monitoring digital communication activities
  • Excellent communications skills in both German and English (to native speaker standard) required
  • Experience in research communication is an asset
  • Strong networker and relationship-builder
  • Ability to work as part of a team and high level of personal initiative
  • Interest in the G20 process, multilateralism and global economic developments
  • Strong attachment to the values and aspirations of the GSI
  • IT skills, i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
